In-Person Playtesting has Returned!

Back in March of last year, the fate of Break My Game was pretty uncertain. We were a small playtesting group in Washington DC, USA. We had a dedicated following of designers and players but when COVID stopped all public events for the majority of the USA, I really didn't know what to do about it. Then I was approached by some dedicated designers who were sure they could help me not only get Break My Game working online, but make it an amazing community. And that's just what we did. I can't thank everyone on our Mod Team enough for all the hard work they have put in for helping to keep the wheels turning. And we wouldn't be anything without all of our great community members! Thank you so much for everything!

And look at us now! We are an official 501(c)(3) charity! We do playtesting 6 days a week with designers from all over the world! We have over 1,300 members, and host various special events such as the Rules Exchange, and the Game Jam! We have 14 extraordinary moderators and 10 event hosts that help us keep everything running as smooth as possible. We have a growing workshop program, podcast, and who can forget the Game Club!

And next week we are coming full circle. Folks, it's the moment we all have been waiting for... In-Person playtesting is coming back to Break My Game!

Tuesday, August 3rd, Zack will be hosting the first event in Pleasanton, CA, USA at King Kong Comics. For more information and to register for a table, please visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/break-my-game-playtesting-pleasanton-ca-king-kong-comics-registration-164761394767

On Sunday, August 15th, I will be hosting Break My Game back in College Park, MD at The Board and Brew. For more information and to register for a table, please visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/break-my-game-playtesting-washington-dc-board-and-brew-registration-164691507733

For now, we are running at a very limited capacity. COVID is still a very real thing and we want to do this in a responsible way. As time progresses we will look into opening additional in-person events and locations. If you can make it to either of these events, it would mean the world to us! We hope to see you there!
